Bike Trip To Sydney
When, in 2011, Will Ashley and his mate Kale Teece were jokingly dared to cycle from Coffs Harbour to Sydney, after they had being cycling to school a few days a week, it all seemed like a joke; until the boys accepted the challenge with serious intentions. The trip covered 600 km, with the two 16 year olds (at the time) completing the trip in 6 days. The duo decided to raise money for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) as both their families had been affected by cancer and the boys deemed "that pretty much everyone has been either personally affected by cancer or knows someone else who has. So it's a universal disease that touches everyone's lives". Being adolescents themselves the boys wanted also to spread a positive message about teenagers living healthy active lives, and decided to do so by leading by example. The boys aimed to raise $10,000 for the ACRF with the final total sitting at $11,500. The trip was a great success but in monetary means but also a fun filled experience for two young lads from the Coffs Coast.

Kokoda Track
Later in 2011, Will Ashley was chosen to take part in the Kokoda Youth Leadership Challenge, walking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea. Will joined 26 other young Australians aged between 16 and 26 who completed the 130 km track over 9 days, enduring tropical downpours, sucking mud, mountain ranges to arrive back at Port Moresby after a life changing experience.

Kayak For A Cure
More Recently in the Christmas holidays of 2012/13 my Brother, my friend and I (aged 18,17 and 17 respectably) completed a 2,200 km kayak trip down the Murray River in Australia - the third longest Navigable river in the world- over 40 days. The motive of the trip was twofold: to raise $10,000 for the ACRF (we were humbled by people's generosity and managed to surpass our goal and raise $17,000) and to spread a positive message about teenagers living their lives to the full, without the need for drug and alcohol abuse. We were elated to have elated to have our trip endorsed by Jessica Watson (youngest person to sail solo and unassisted around the world), adventurer/entrepreneur Dick Smith and adventurers Cas and Jonesy.
